Lena (Vermiglio) Cichonski, of Malden, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Beverly.

Born on August 22 1926, daughter of the late Anna and Emlio Vermiglio. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester Cichonski who she shared 57 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2004.

Lena had 6 loving sisters and 4 loving brothers. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Lena was always known as the “glue of the family”. One of her favorite hobbies was going dancing every Saturday night with her late husband and her late sister, Lucy Macale and brother in law, Joseph Macale. She also loved going to play bingo.

She was the devoted mother of her two daughter, Linda Cady (Cichonski) and her husband, Thomas Cady of Amesbury, and Carol Patrolia (Cichonski) and husband Joseph Patrolia of Beverly. 7 grandchildren, Pamela Lucchesi and her husband Franco Lucchesi of Tewksbury, Kimberlee Bandle and her husband Kris Bandle Limerick, Maine, John Coughlin and his wife Heather Coughlin of Melrose, the late Nicholas Coughlin of Peabody, Joey Patrolia and his wife Candy Patrolia of Boca, Florida, Wendee Graham and husband Marc Graham of Derry NH., and Amanda Patrolia of Beverly. She had 10 and soon to be 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Arrangements: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA 01960, on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
