Obituary For Leonard A. DeFelice

Peabody – Leonard A. DeFelice 84, beloved husband of the late Concetta ‘Connie” (Riggillo) DeFelice, died Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with his daughter and son-in-law by his side.

Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Guy and Margaret (Pizzano) DeFelice. He was a graduate of East Boston High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. DeFelice had been employed for forty years as a letter handler for the United States Postal Service at it’s South Postal Annex in Boston until the time of his retirement.

A resident of Peabody for the past forty-seven years, Leonard was a fun loving guy who enjoyed sports and long walks around the neighborhood. He enjoyed spending time and was an active member of The Peter A. Torigian Senior Center in Peabody. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friends who will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Andrea M. Dadekian and her husband, David of Peabody, three granddaughters, Dominique Jordan Dadekian, Danielle Martin and Ashley Martin, a sister, Lucille Scimone of Everett and a brother, Anthony DeFelice of Revere. He was also the father of the late Christina Martin.

ARRANGEMENTS: A visitation will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Roger B. Trask Adult Day Program, payable to: Friends of the Peabody Council on Aging, 75R Central St., Peabody, MA 01960.
