Charlestown – Leonard J. Brown 62, formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Born in Everett, he was the son of Leonard H. Brown of Peabody and the late Dorothy A. (Lynn) Brown. He was raised in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1977.

Mr. Brown had been employed as an excavator for S. Colosi Construction in Middleton since 1981.

Leonard had a compassion for the homeless and had volunteered at the Life Bridge Shelter in Salem. He enjoyed nature, fishing and listening to music. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his daughters.

In addition to his father, he is survived by six daughters, Sarah Brown of Washington, Lindsey Brown of Peabody, Lacey Brown of Peabody, Jessica Felix of Salem, Samantha Felix of Salem and Alexandra Felix of Salem, five grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kaycee, John David, Sarenity and A.J. and a brother, Timothy Brown and his wife, Alicia of Wilmington.
