Obituary For Linda Cavallon

Peabody – Linda Cavallon 70, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 30, 2021 at her home.

Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of Catherine E. “Katie” (Canavan) Cavallon and the late Joseph E. Cavallon. She received her education in the Peabody school system and graduated from Peabody High School. Linda had been employed for forty-six years by the City of Peabody. At the time of her retirement, she was the administrator of the Retirement department at Peabody City Hall and prior to that she had worked in the Collector’s office.

A lifelong resident of Peabody, Linda was a loyal and faithful communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Peabody having served on the Thrift Shop Committee, the Social Committee and was also a Eucharistic Minister. An avid golfer having won several tournaments, she was a member of the Old Salem Country Club in Salem. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving sister, Debra “Debby” Crean and her husband, Leonard of Peabody, two nephews, Michael J. Crean and his wife, Katie of Daytona, FL and Mark E. Crean and his wife, Anna of Peabody, six great nieces and nephews, Victoria, McKenzie, Eva, Elliott, Catalena and Lacey and her aunt, Margaret “Peggy” Canty of Wakefield.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1 Margin St., Peabody, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research, 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380 (www.komen.org).

    We are deeply saddened for your loss. I've had the pleasure of working with Linda as colleagues of the City of Peabody Retirement Board for nearly twenty-five years. Her honesty, respect and trust was always a guiding voice in our deliberations and she could be counted on to help others whatever the need might be. She will be dearly missed.
