Obituary For Lisa Joan Josselyn

Lisa Joan (Ingham) Josselyn, 53, lifelong resident of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday April 12th Lisa was born in Lynn, MA on June 3rd, 1969. She was the only daughter of the late Jean (Gould) Ingham of Peabody and William Ingham Sr of Flagler Beach, Florida. Lisa was a graduate of Peabody High’s Class of 1987. She was an avid athlete and played for the high school’s girls basketball team. She continued her education at Salem State College earning her degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught at Peabody’s Burke School for a few years before opening her own home daycare business. Lisa raised her 3 children while running her business. When her youngest became school aged, she decided to return to school to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. Lisa has been a hospice nurse with Care Dimension for the past 9 years. Lisa put her heart and soul into everything she did, especially when it came to her kids. Whether it be chaperoning field trips, being a Girl Scout troop leader, or working concessions at football games and dance recitals, if her kids needed her, she would be there. The same sentiment goes for all of her family and friends. If someone needed help, Lisa was there.Lisa loved spending time with family and friends. She would host almost all of the holiday and family gatherings at her house. She was the so-called “glue” of the family and kept everyone together. She also spent many of her weekends with her close friends, “The Fab 5.” She loved being in the water, it didn’t matter if it was the ocean, a lake, or a pool. In fact, she taught all 3 of her children, and many of her daycare kids, how to swim. Any time she could be with her loved ones, she jumped at the opportunity. Lisa is survived by her husband of 30 years Kevin Josselyn of Peabody, MA, son and daughter-in-law, Hunter and Sara Josselyn of Raymond, NH, son Trevor Josselyn of Peabody, MA, and daughter, Lindsey Josselyn of Peabody, MA. She was the loving Nana to Brielle and Brynlee Josselyn of Raymond, NH. She is also survived by her father and his wife William and Cecile Ingham of FL, brothers, William Ingham, Jr, of FL, Stephen Ingham of NH, David Ingham of MA, Kevin Ingham of MA, sisters-in-law, Barbara Ingham of FL Barbara Ingham of MA, and Susan Ingham of MA. Lisa is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Lisa is predeceased by her mother Jean (Gould) Ingham of Peabody, MA, brother Scott Ingham of Peabody, MA and sister-in-law Deborah Ingham of NH. Services for Lisa will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral & Cremation Care at 82 Lynn St, Peabody, MA on Monday May 1st. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral at 11:30 AM and then graveside service at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in Lisa’s name to either Care Dimensions, or the Epilepsy Foundation, linked on the left of this obituary. Thank you.

I had the honor of knowing Lisa most of my life. We went to school together when we were younger, and lost touch. Then we reconnected, years later when we both pursued our dream of becoming a nurse. All those late night studying, and the long clinical days brought created a strong bond. Even though we were both so busy with work and family, we always had each other's back. My heart breaks for her family. Lisa will live on in our hearts and memories.

We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Lisa. It's hard to find the right words at a time like this. May the Josselyn and Ingham families find peace, comfort, and all the love you need in the days to come.

I hadn't seen her in many years until we ran into each other about a month ago. It was like we were back all those years ago working together at the Burke. We were so happy to see each other again! We stood there in the middle of Costco hugging and catching up. Of course we exchanged phone numbers and said we would get together soon! I was devastated to hear she had been taken way too soon from everyone who loved her. She was a beautiful person and will be missed by many. Sending my condolences to all of her family and friends. RIP sweet Lisa. Love you!❤️

My deepest sympathies go out to the Josselyn Family and Lisa's dear friends. I knew Lisa through my sister Alicia and was devastated to hear the news that such a bright, beautiful soul in the universe had been extinguished. Lisa was always so kind and had such a calm manner about her. I am sure she will always be watching over her nearest and dearest until their time comes to join her.
