Obituary For Lorraine H. Ouellette

Lorraine H. (McCarthy) Ouellette, age 85, died Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Robert G. Ouellette.

Born in Bangor, Maine on August 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Irene (Chason) McCarthy. She had resided in Lewiston, Maine for many years before moving to Peabody in 1972. She was a graduate of Lewiston High School class of 1952.

Lorraine enjoying bowling at Holiday Lanes and especially loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Lorraine loved to knit for her grandchildren, crafts, music and dancing. She was one of the biggest fans of the Boston Red Sox.

In addition to her husband of sixty-three years, she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty and David Gamache, Sally and John Sauvageau and Nancy Ouellette all of Peabody; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Lorraine Ouellette of Middleton and Timmy and Kathy Ouellette of Georgetown; two sisters, Irene Chipman and Gloria May; eight grandchildren, Renee and Michael Ouellette, Robert Gamache and his companion, Devan McNair, Randall Gamache and his companion, Sarah Holden, Rebecca Marmiani and her husband, Thomas, John Sauvageau and his wife, Shannon, Justin Sauvageau and his wife, Crystal and Madison Ouellette; eight great-grandchildren, Brady, Beckett and Blake Gamache, Hannah and Thomas Sauvageau, Sadie and Rylee Sauvageau and Maverick Marmiani and many niece, nephews, and her beloved dog, Tito, that stayed by her side. She was also predeceased by her three sisters, Dorothy Luccia, Mary Cavers and Patricia Charest and three brothers, Richard, George and Edward McCarthy.

Her funeral service will be held in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4 – 6 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.

    LORRAINE was one of a kind agreat neighbor since 1972. She was like family. Lorraine was always so generous to our family making handmade gifts for my sister's kids and always had extra clothes and goodies all of the little ones. Lorraine was someone who you could sit down with and talk about anything. Especially her beloved Red Sox Lorraine will surely be missed God bless
