Obituary For Louis Ciano Jr.
Peabody – Louis Ciano Jr. 74, beloved husband of Catherine (Arvanitides) Ciano, died Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Atrium at Veronica Drive in Danvers. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Louis Sr. and Angelina “Anna” (Coccia) Ciano. He was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. An honorable discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Ciano had been employed as a biochemist at Genzyme in Cambridge. Prior to that he had worked for twenty-five years at Monsanto in Everett. Following his retirement he worked for Peterson Party in Winchester. In addition to his wife with whom he shared sixteen years of marriage, he is survived by two sons, Michael Ciano and his wife, Christine of Billerica and Louis Ciano III of Everett, one grandson, Jarrett Ciano and two sisters, Dolores Titcomb of Hollis, NH and Alice Grimes of Watertown.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will be held at the church prior to the service on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Arrangements by the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 (www.alz.org).
