Manuel Q. Felix, 91, of Peabody, died Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Zulmira Conçeicão (Machado) Felix. He was born in Graciosa, Açores, Portugal on December 11, 1930, the son of the late Jose and Leonor (Quadros) Felix and was raised there and worked on the family farm and for the city before immigrating to the United States in 1975. He settled in Peabody and was employed in the leather industry at Masino Leather and Salem Suede Co. for 17 years prior to his retirement.

He had been a member of the Brotherhood of the Holy Ghost Society and Our Lady of Fatima Church. He also liked growing his grapes to make wine and tending to his vegetable garden.

He is survived by his wife Zulmira of Peabody, a son and daughter-in-law, Helder and Maria Da Luz Quadros of Groveland, MA, two daughters and sons-in-law, Maria Filomena and Helio Lobao of Tyngsboro, MA and Maria Jose and Patrick Pesola of Haverhill, MA, a brother, Francisco Da Luz, his sisters, Clarinda Quadros, Teresina and Ondina Melo all of Toronto, Canada, his six grandchildren and five great grandchildren: Grandson, Ryan Quadros and wife Nicole and their children Brayden and Elle, granddaughter, Arielle Lobao and her children Saihena, Deandre and Davion, grandson Dustin Quadros and his wife Laura, grandson Brandon Quadros, and granddaughters, Chantal Lobao and Isabel Pesola along with many beloved nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Felix.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Friday from the funeral home at 8:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
