Obituary For Marc T. McShay

Marc T. McShay, 37, of Marblehead, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Academy Manor HealthCare facility in Andover, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Beverly, he was the beloved son of the Michael A. and the late Patricia (Newall) McShay.

He had worked as a sales representative for Coastal Windows and Exteriors for many years.

Marc was faced with an impossible diagnosis. Throughout his battle he remained focused, motivated and determined. His main concern was aimed more at his family's reaction than that of his own experience. He had a unique bond with everyone in his life. Growing up he always enjoyed his mom's cooking and heart to heart advice, laughing at his dad's jokes at the dinner table and by the campfire, catching the newest release in theaters after a meal with Ian, and teaming up with Ryan to show everyone how to party.

He loved the city nightlife. Everyone knew it wasn't a party until Marc arrived. His ability to make everyone around him laugh and crack a smile was infectious. If you needed advice on fashion, music, movies and TV, a new weight lifting routine, girls and relationships, or a tip on the best food around, Marc was your man. His main obsession was his nephew Dallas and newborn niece Daisy. His favorite activity was outperforming his brothers in their gym, followed by one of his recommended movies or shows. Although fitness was very important to him, he was never shy to be the first to grab one of the many delicious goods baked by Shannah and Sophia.

There will always be a deep void to fill in his absence. Yet, the indestructible bond with his 2 best friends in the entire world, his 2 brothers, and the unending affection and love he had for his family will forever remain unbroken. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his father, he survived by his brothers, Ryan McShay and his wife Shannah of Marblehead, and Ian McShay and Sophia Vannavilay of Peabody, his niece, Daisy McShay, and his nephew, Dallas McShay of Marblehead. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia M. (Newall) McShay.

A memorial service for Marc will be held at a later date.
