Lynn – Maria M. (Cacete) Medeiros 66, beloved wife of Ricardo Cunha, died on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Domingos Cacete and Maria Idelina (Mendonca) Carvalho. She emigrated to the United State in1971, settling in the North Shore area.

Maria had been employed for twenty years as a bus driver for the Peabody Council on Aging until the time of her illness. A longtime resident of Lynn, she was a member of the Holy Ghost Society in Peabody. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friends who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael Cacete and his wife, Natella of Peabody and Armindo Cacete of Lynn, two grandchildren, Giana and Ayden Cacete, a sister, Eva Toste of AK and a brother, Francisco Ferreira of Portugal.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody on Friday, January 6, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning, January 7th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
