Obituary For Maria (Skagos) Psihogios

Peabody- With profound sadness we announce the passing of Maria Psihogios, a loving and devoted wife, mother and Yiayia.

She was born in Agios Ioannis, Monemvasias, Greece, and immigrated to Peabody in 1977 with her husband, Anastasios Psihogios.

She was the beloved mother of Chrisovalantou and her husband Dimitrios Lekakis of Peabody and Sophia and Fotios Stamos of Danvers. Maria was very proud of her children’s accomplishments and achievements. However, nothing brought her more joy than her two granddaughters, Aggeliki and Maria Stamos. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. We will continue to make her proud and live our lives with grace, love, and kindness, as those were her core values.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 10 to 11A.M. at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St, Peabody, MA 01960. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Due to current restrictions, her funeral service will be private. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Maria’s memory to St Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St, Peabody, MA 01960.
