Marblehead- Maria (Demitrolcopolous) Zouras, 95, beloved wife of the late William Zouras, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Lafayette Rehabilitation and Skilled nursing facility in Marblehead.

Maria was born in Messenia, Greece on July 6, 1925. She was raised and educated there before emigrating to the United States. Maria had resided in Danvers and Peabody for many years before moving to Marblehead.

Maria was an active member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church where she formed many friendships over the years. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend and dedicated her time to raising her family. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, James Zouras.

Arrangements: A visitation will be held at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody MA 01960.
