Obituary For Marie A Carco

Marie A (Faretra) Carco, 83, of Peabody, died Friday evening at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Constantine Carco, Jr. “Lefty” and for the last 17 years, she was the companion of Richard Thibodeau of Peabody.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah (Marino) Faretra. She was raised and educated in East Boston and has lived in Peabody for the past 36 years.

Maire was employed as a Home Health Aid for over 23 years before retiring years ago. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, going to the beach, loved all animals and she especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her three daughters, Karen and her husband Steven Murphy of Peabody, Kim and her husband Danny Curran of North Reading, Robin Carco and her companion, David Vieira of Danvers, and her beloved 6 grandchildren, Chad Stewart, Matthew and his wife Sami, Shane and Jared Curran, Crystal Murphy and her fiancé Nate Hughes, and Sean Murphy, and 1 great grandson, Caleb Curran. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her companion of 17 years, William O’Brien, her son-in-law, Jack Stewart, and her three sisters, Marion Taurasi, Rose Gizzi, and Gloria Jones.

Following cremation, her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
