Obituary For Marie J. Collins

Marie J. Collins, 92, of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Dorothy (Connors) Chulyk. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1948. Marie had been employed at the Jerguson Gage & Valve Company as well as Force Financial where she continued to work as an administrative assistant until her retirement. Marie had many interests. She was a voracious reader and loved old movies and mystery shows. She loved to travel, especially to Martha's Vineyard and Florida. Marie also enjoyed spending time outside on her porch. Most importantly, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Collins of Peabody, Noreen Jewett of Peabody and her sons, Brian Collins and his wife, Jeannine of Beverly and Kevin Collins and his wife Lynn, of Newton, NH.; her devoted partner for over 45 years, Joseph Sullivan; her grandchildren, John, Stephen, Rebecca, Sarah Ruthie, Michael, Phillip, Leah, Jennifer, Matthew, and Olivia, her great-grandchildren, Deanna, Hudson, Jameson, Charleigh Rose, Abigail, Alexander, Gianna, Jasmine, Brooklyn, Mikayla, Nicholas and her expected great-grandson due in July as well as her sister, Dorothy Butcher of Ipswich. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Collins, her son, Paul E. Collins, and her sister, Ruth Shamber.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Cedar Grove Ave, Peabody, MA 01960, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Those attending are asked to meet at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, 01960, at 10:30 a.m. Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org/.     To all of Sissy's family..we were like family to Dot Chulyk, Dottie Gagne Bucher and her children Greg and Debbie for many years! My mom and Dot had been very close so Sissy was like family too.
