Obituary For Marjorie Ann Dromgoole

Following a courageous and gracious battle with many serious medical conditions, Margie has entered eternity. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, and her parents David and Nancy (Ryan) Latta, as well as her older brother George. Margie was a nurse by profession, receiving her degrees from Boston College and Boston University. Her genuine kindness and compassion comforted her patients at V.A. Hospital, Salem Hospital and the many seriously ill infants she cared for as a visiting nurse. Her greatest joy was being the mother of her two sons, Ryan and Patrick. She nurtured them and provided them with years of adventures. Marge led their Cub Scout Pack for many years, thus opening the world to them. Her love for them both was and is boundless. Margie’s family will miss her sweet ways, the enthusiasm for life she brought to any situation, her generosity, and her loving presence. She is survived by her sons, Ryan and his wife Laura, of Denton, Texas and Patrick of Peabody, as well as her siblings Helen and her husband Denis Coleman of Salem, David and his wife Dottie Latta of Stoneham, and her sister in law Susan Latta of Marshfield. She will be lovingly missed by her many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 23, from 3-7P.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a service in the funeral home at 7P.M. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 and The Brooksby Village Student Scholarship Fund, Philanthropy Fund, 200 Brooksby Village Drive, Peabody, MA 01960.
