Marjorie J (Archilles) Bistany, 84, of Peabody, died Monday November 28, 2022, surrounded by her family at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard N. Bistany.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Fewer) Archilles. She was raised and educated in the Mission Hills section of Boston, later lived in Revere and has spent the last 54 years living in Peabody.

Marjorie worked as a clerk in in a law office and upon marrying her husband she raised her three children and later worked as a salesclerk in the retail industry.

She enjoyed playing bingo, going to Foxwoods Casino and playing the slot machines, watching soap operas, game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune, doing ceramics, and she also enjoyed entertaining and hosting her friends and family as well.

Marjorie is survived by her three sons, Gary Bistany of Salisbury, Mark Bistany of Peabody, and Erik Bistany of Lynn, and two grandchildren, Dylan and Lucas Bistany of Salisbury.

Her funeral services will be held privately.
