Mary A. Donlon, 100, of Peabody passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, May 23, 2022. One of six children of John and Josephine (Hanley) Donlon. Mary was born is Peabody on January 24, 1922. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate from St. John the Baptist High School in 1939 and from Burdett College of Boston in 1941. After graduating from Burdett, she served her entire career in the State House, and Woburn as a member of the Division of Savings Bank Life Insurance, retiring in 1998 as Vice President of the company. She was a past member of the Peabody Historical Society, serving as secretary of the Society. She was a worldwide traveler and an avid reader. She enjoyed knitting, bowling, and daily outings with her sisters. Mary is survived by her sister, Esther Breen, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and nephews, and many great great grand-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, John and Joseph Donlon, and her sisters, Helen McInnis, Lilian Guzofski, and Elizabeth LoCicero. Arrangements: Her funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody, on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Visiting hours prior at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., on Friday, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
