Obituary For Mary C. Stratis

Peabody – Mary C. (Siderakis) Stratis 86, beloved wife of William Stratis, died Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington.

Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Nikitopoulos) Siderakis.

Mrs. Stratis had been employed for twenty-five years as an administrative assistant at the former Parker Brothers Games in Salem until the time of her retirement.

A lifelong resident of Peabody, Mrs. Stratis enjoyed visiting the Torigian Senior Center in Peabody. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed scratch tickets. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, with whom she shared sixty-four years of marriage, she is survived by her loving daughter, Joanne Gildea and her husband, Edward of Peabody, three granddaughters, Maria Lilja and her husband, Christopher of Salisbury, Stephanie Yeaton and her husband, Richard of Salisbury and Samantha Gildea of Peabody, a sister, Georgia Poole of Peabody and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Mass Commission for the Blind, 600 Washington St., Boston, MA 02111.
