Mary F (Aletto) O’Leary, 85, of Peabody, died Monday afternoon at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas M. O’Leary.

Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Nancy (Delanno) Aletto. She was raised and educated in Somerville and has spent the last 60 years living in Peabody.

Mary worked for over 25 years as a sales associate for Jordan Marsh and Macy’s before retiring years ago. She was a longtime communicant and volunteer at St. Adelaide’s Church in Peabody. She also hosted bible study groups at her home as well. Her favorite endeavor was reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son Thomas M. O’Leary, Jr of Peabody, her daughter and son-in-law, Annmarie and Paul Reynolds of Derry, NH, her siblings, Gus and his wife Linda Aletto, Cosmo and his wife Kay Aletto, Shirley and her husband John Grillo, and Lisa Sullivan, all of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Jaclyn Reynolds of Merrimac, NH and Alyssa and her husband John Goodrich of CA and by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody.
