Mary L (Boyle) Doody, 90, of Plaistow, NH and formerly of Danvers, died Monday March 28, 2022, at the Exeter Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late James and Gladys (LeCain) Boyle. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1948.

Mary was employed as a secretary at the Winthrop School in Hamilton and later at GTE Sylvania in Danvers until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling to islands and the annual multi-generational vacation to Cape Cod with the family. She also enjoyed the theatre and Boston Celtics games.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Debra DeAngelis of Middleton and Patricia Riter of Plaistow, NH, her sister, Ann Flynn of Peabody, her beloved grandchildren, Becky DeAngelis, Lauren and her husband Harry Alvarez, David and his wife Elizabeth DeAngelis, Kristy and her husband Shawn Quigley, her great grandchildren, Silas and Saoirse Holzman, Fletcher and Hunter DeAngelis, and Sebastian and Oscar Alvarez, and is also survived by her nieces, Kathleen and her husband Robert Pingree, Suzanne and her husband Douglas Charochak, and the late Barbara O’Connell and her husband Scott O’Connell and by many grand nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband William F. Doody of Danvers and his wife Rhoda.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
