Obituary For Mary T. Burgess

Peabody – Mary T. (Connarton) Burgess 73, beloved wife of Francis J. Burgess Sr., died Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Hunt Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Danvers.

Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Edward Connarton and Ruth (Frampton) McQueeney. She was raised in Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School.

Mrs. Burgess had been employed for twenty years for the U.S. Post Office in Peabody until the time of her retirement.

A longtime resident of Peabody, she had volunteered for many years at Haven From Hunger in Peabody, an organization which she held close to her heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared over fifty three years of marriage, she is survived by a daughter, Amy Burgess of Peabody, a son, Frank Burgess Jr. and his wife, Traci of Peabody, two grandchildren, Kyle and Kelsey Burgess, a sister, Nancy Monaco of Peabody, a brother, Michael Connarton of Everett, several nieces and nephews including, great nephew, Andrew Monaco and his partner, Jen Faria and their children, Matthew Monaco and Fernando Faria all of Peabody, great nieces, Oliviah Monaco and Laneigh Monaco of Charlestown.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann’s Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Haven From Hunger, 71 Wallis St, Peabody, MA 01960.

    Mr. Burgess, Frank, Amy and Burgess family, We are so sorry for the loss of your wife, mom and grandmother. Mary was so fun to be around and we enjoyed her company when we all got together. Please accept our sincere condolences and we are thinking of you all during this difficult time.
