Peabody - Matthew J. Robinson passed away suddenly on June 29, 2021 at age 53 of heart disease.

Matt was born February 7, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1982 he moved to Northridge, California. As an adult, he lived in Georgia and Bermuda before returning to his beloved Boston.

Matt was a huge Boston sports fan, especially the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots. He was a hard worker, and spent his years employed at Shaw’s grocery stores, Polar Beverages, the 99 Restaurant, and doing his paper route.

Matt was a member of the Beverly Salem Elks 1309. He loved building models, puzzles, WWII history, Star Trek, Aerosmith, traveling, skiing, playing darts, observing the stars and planets through his telescope, playing his guitar and writing his own songs. His sarcastic sense of humor was well known to all, and he often lightened the mood with laughter. His family is heartbroken to lose their beloved son, brother, uncle and friend.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Mary Slotnick (Joe) of Northridge, CA; his sisters, Patti Robinson of New Milford, CT, and Teri Robinson of Austin, TX; his brother, John Robinson of Pittsburg, CA; as well as by his niece, Elisabeth Kopecky (Jon) of Oahu, HI; his nephews, Michael Query (Kaitlyn) of Washington, CT, and Joshua Robinson of Pittsburg, CA, as well as several grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and cousins in the United Kingdom.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
