Obituary For Matthew Ryan McDaid

Matthew Ryan McDaid was born on December 23, 1987. He was the first son and second child of Ray and Julie McDaid. Matthew attended Elementary and Junior High School in Salem, MA before graduating from Essex Agricultural High School in Danvers, MA with the class of 2006. Matthew worked as a mason out of High School, and was employed in the construction field for many years until taking a position as a facility technician at Organogenesis in Norwood, MA.

Matthew met Arielle Lesnoy in 2014 and together they parented two beautiful daughters, Shea and Ella McDaid. Everyone who knew Matt recognized what a great Dad he was to his daughters. He often said, “you don’t know what love really is until you have kids.” He was a devoted and loving Father, as well as beloved Uncle to the nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. You could usually find Matt either playing with the kids, or taking a nap with the littlest on his chest.

Matthew is survived by Arielle Lesnoy, and their two daughters, Shea and Ella, his parents Ray and Julie McDaid, his sister Jennifer McDaid and husband Matthew King, his brother Patrick and partner Stephanie Baez as well as their three children Benjamin, James, and Micheal McDaid, and his youngest brother Christopher McDaid. He was predeceased by his grandparents,Edward and Margaret Lessor and William and Anne McDaid.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Matthew McDaid is asking for donations for Shea and Ella to be used for education, childcare, and other costs associated with the sudden loss of a parent. You may contribute through our Go Fund Me account "For The Children of Matthew McDaid." https://gofund.me/8dbc84d9. Services for Matthew will be private.
