Obituary For Maureen Frances (Doherty) Mores

Maureen Frances (Doherty) Mores, 78, of Norfolk and formerly of Peabody, died Sunday evening at Salem Hospital surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Herbert M. Mores with whom she shared over 52 years of marriage.

Maureen was a Professional Librarian who worked for the Library of Congress and then went into the Public-School systems in Mansfield, Foxboro, and finally before retiring for King Philip Regional High School. Maureen was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking as well, but her greatest joy was being a mother, wife, sister, and friend.

To Herb, Donna and I were reading the quarterly issue from the UND Foundation and were saddened to read about Maureen's passing. We pulled out one of our ancient photo albums and enjoyed the ones with you and Maureen in them. The best was a quick video of our little Doug knocking your Air Force cap off (he is now 52) The obituary read showing a good life with family and friends over your marriage. I will say we do think of you both when we go out to Medora for the play out there. Once again we are so sorry for your loss and hope you can move forward with great memories. Mick and Donna Gillen

Maureen was my best friend in high school we lost touch after I was married. How I wish I could have seen her one last time. My sincere sympathy to Maureen's husband and children and the Doherty Family. RIP Maws
