Obituary For Michael A. Ganse

Michael A. Ganse, 60, of Saugus and formerly of Peabody, MA died on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, MA with his family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Cynthia “Cindy” (Zeltsar) Ganse.

Mike was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 8, 1961, the son of Maria (Kellar) Ganse and the late George Ganse and later resided in Peabody, MA before moving to Saugus MA. He was a graduate of the Peabody Vocational Technical School as well as East Coast Aero Technical School in Bedford, MA.

Mike had been an auto mechanic for many years and later was a forklift mechanic , first working with the New England Industrial Truck Co, and Later with the W.B. Matthews Co, of Maine prior to his illness.

He enjoyed working with cars and engines and restored many vehicles ,especially refinishing his 1959 Cadillac. Mike loved sports- all Boston teams, especially the Patriots and the Bruins. He also cherished being up at lake Winnipesaukee and spending time on his boat with family and friends, He also liked making candles, watching Star Trek reruns, but his most precious time was spent being with his family.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Saugus and formerly of Winthrop, MA, his son Michael Ganse, age 25 of Saugus, his mother Maria Ganse of Peabody, his sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and William Craig of Middleton, MA, his dog, Morgan, and a host of cousins, in-laws, and friends.

There Is no immediate Services at this time, The Ganse family are grateful of all the care and concern at the Good Samaritan Hospital given to Michael and send their heartfelt appreciation to them. Expressions of sympathy for Michael may be made to the charity of your choice.
