Obituary For Michael Martwichuck

Michael Martwichuck, 80, of Lynn and formerly of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Mary Lee (Miller) Martwichuck with whom he shared 15 years of marriage.

Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Tenedios) Martwichuck. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1961. He has lived in Lynn for the past 17 years.

Michael was employed as a meat cutter and meat manager for over 38 years for Stop-in-Shop, mostly in the Peabody store until his retirement years ago. He was a member of the Local 1445 Meat Cutters Union and a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and Men’s Club as well. He was a Bingo Caller at the bingo games at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church and was characterized as a humble and genuine man.

Besides his loving wife Mary Lee, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Lisa Martwichuck of Beverly, his daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and David Miller of Beverly, his brother and sister-in-law, George and Elaine Martwichuck of Bradford, his sister, Denise Martwichuck of Peabody, and by his beloved 5 grandchildren, Erica, Olivia, and Matthew Miller, and Haley and Abby Martwichuck, all of Beverly and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Paleologos St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
