Obituary For Michael Robert Abraham

Michael R. Abraham 41, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2022, following a motorcycle accident in Beverly.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of Robert R. and Helen (Lavoie) Abraham of Salem. He was raised in Salem, attended St. John the Baptist School in Peabody, and graduated from the Hamilton-Wenham High School. He continued his education earning an associate degree from the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston as an ASC Mechanic.

Mike owned and operated AGS Stump Grinding and Tree Service, serving customers throughout the North Shore area and was actively building a house in Maine. Over the years, Mike spent time living in California, Chicago, and Tennessee where he built extraordinary friendships and memories.

An accomplished musician and guitar player, Mike, also known as Skippy and Woody, was a member of local bands including James Nation and The Von Traps. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. His colorful, boisterous, and tough exterior did not overshadow his tender, loyal, and fierce love for his friends and family. He cultivated a deep faith in God and a strong sense of the world. Mike had an affinity for nature, the ocean, trees, and animals. He was smart and strong. He lived loud.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Cody Lee Abraham, his son’s wonderful mother, Marie Titus, his son’s grandmother, Margaret Titus of Lynn, as well as a sister, Deanna Talbot and her husband Jason, two nieces, Julianna and Rebecca Talbot and many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Michael will be missed by all who knew him.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Sunday, October 23, 2022, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. I haven't seen Mike in a decade or so but shared a lot of great memories with him the short time he was in Tennessee. We used to sit around and drink Tennessee moonshine and Mike would rewrite Beatles tunes with his acoustic guitar...the lower the level on the moonshine jar got, the more punk rock the Beatles tunes got...to the only man that could turn a Beatles ballad into a grungy punk song....I'll drink to you Skippy....Fly high my friend!

Mikey was one of a kind and how very lucky for us to have known him and shared memories. He will always have a special place in the hearts of those who loved him. My deepest sympathies to all the family and his son Cody for the loss of an extraordinary human. I believe he lived on his own terms and that's what truly matters. Until we meet again, always know how much you meant to all who had the privilege of time spent with you. Love you sweet Mikey💕💕 Kathleen

Bob, Helen & Deanna, You are in our thoughts & hearts during this time of great sorrow. I have many fun & happy memories of Michael, as a young boy, growing up as our neighbor. More recently always a friendly "Hi" when visiting his family home. May Cody be embraced by the love of family. It is true there are no words, but know we share your sorrow and loss. Skip had a fun soul: one night I was in town visiting family and we all went to sushi which also hosted karaoke. We debated about joining the list to sing, only to find out there were 10 others in front of us haha, so we ended up singing at our spot at the bar, specifically "Take on Me" by A-ha (TAKE ON ME!). Skip's stage presence was admirable along with his outlook on life. I'll never forget his kindness and his ability to make you smile the moment you saw him. Much love, Skip! \m/

Dear Skippy, my heart is breaking. I can't believe you are gone way too soon. You were always so good to me and watched over me. If I ever needed anything you were there, every time. All the good times too. It was always so good to see you.. It was great when you moved down the street and we were neighbors. You were so strong and fearless yet gentle and kind. I love you. My condolences to your family, especially Cody. I will hold you in my heart forever. Rest in peace dear friend. Diane

Dear Abraham Family, My heart breaks for you all. There are no words that can even be said at such a time of tragedy. Losing a child, a brother , a dad is such a profound loss especially at such a young tender age. You are a kind gentle loving family who should never be enduring such pain and heartbreak and I am deeply deeply saddened for you all. With much love, Melissa, Newton Murphy 36 Balcomb St

Skippy I am absolutely heartbroken. You were always the light in a room. cracking jokes and raising your friends up if we were down. We knew when you were close, because we could either hear your mouth or you outside reving your bike. I remember at one of your apartments you were feeding the local skunks, raccoons, stray cats and probably rats. Heidi & I scolded you, that you were that annoying neighbor bringing in the pests, but you had such a love for animals . I can't believe I will never see your face again. I love you Skippy and hate this. Until we met again buddy. I am so sorry I can't be there and that you never made it to S.C.
