Lynn – Michelle “Chella” (Menendez) Acevedo 40, beloved wife of Jaime Acevedo Jr., passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Brighton, She was raised in Chelsea and graduated from Chelsea High School.

She is survived by two sons, Joshua Menendez and his wife, Jessica Gomez of Lynn and Jaime G.A. Acevedo of Salem, one grandson, Leon Menendez of Lynn.

Michelle dedicated her life to raising her family. She loved spending time with her grandson, Leon and expressed each day how much she looked forward to the arrival of her granddaughter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Michelle loved music and dancing. She was adored by her entire family.

She was the daughter of Ines Figueroa of Lynn and Miguel Menendez of Everett. In addition to her husband, children and parents, she is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Menendez of Lynn, Julie Diogo and her husband, Agostinho of Salem and Maria Menendez and her husband, Joe Sullivan of Lynn, a brother, Ernesto Ramirez of Boston and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
