Obituary For Myrna E Arboleda

Your Hug Meant the World Nobody else held me so tight Or made me feel so right No one's eyes shined so bright with love As my mom, who is now high above. - Tamsen Butler

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Myrna, our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched. Myrna Elvira Arboleda Ponton, age 65, passed away October 01, 2021 after a long battle of several underlying conditions. She was born December 08, 1955 in Barranquilla, Colombia to Julio E Arboleda and Gladys Ponton Sierra. She married her friend and love, Juan Antonio Zoquier Medina, in May of 1985 who preceded her in death in 2006.

Myrna loved to love on people. She encouraged, gave advise and defended anyone in need. She shared her love with food and loved to explore different dishes from all cultures. It was very hard for her to pick a favorite, but she always gravitated to Latin American food.

Her life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

It would be wrong to say that Myrna lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Myrna stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Myrna. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. She is truly our warrior and our hero that has gone home and is now taking care of us all.

Myrna is survived by her father Julio E Arboleda; brothers and Sisters, Dionisio Enrique Arboleda Ponton, Cielo Elsa Arboleda Ponton, Patricia Margarita Arboleda Ponton, Monica Beatriz Arboleda Ponton de Quiceno and Richard Nelson Arboleda Camargo; her two sons Giovanni Antonio Arboleda Zoquier and Jeremias Alexander Arboleda; daughter in law, Jennifer Esperanza Pinto; grandchildren, Geoarmanni Arboleda and Jeremias Alexander Arboleda Jr.; plus her nieces and nephews that she loved like her own children, Madelyn Patricia Soto Arboleda, Jessica Marie Soto Arboleda, Monica De Los Angeles Soto Arboleda, Jariel Minerva Soto Arboleda, Luis Alberto Ramos-Soto Arboleda, Luisa Fernanda Quiceno Arboleda., Sebastián Quiceno Arboleda, Giselle Camacho Arboleda, Claudia Patricia Camacho Arboleda, Jorge Luis Camacho Arboleda, César Enrique Camacho Arboleda, All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Please join us celebrating her life at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, MA 01960. Wake service will be on October 8th, 2021 6PM - 9PM and Funeral Service will be on October 9th, 2021 10AM at the funeral home.
