Nancy E. (Simpson) DeMeo, 92, beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” DeMeo Sr., died Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Elsie (Schoenle) Simpson. She later moved to Peabody, where she resided for over 45 years. Nancy had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper and worked at the Holiday Inn in Peabody for over 20 years. She loved reading, watching game shows, especially Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and going out to eat at local restaurants. She also enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots and was a big fan of Tom Brady. Above all, she loved her family and cherished spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her son Rick DeMeo Jr. and his wife Andrea of Saugus, MA; her daughters Beth DeMeo of North Andover, MA, and Caroline Ward and her husband Ray of Naragansett, RI; her grandchildren Sheri, Eric, Laurabeth, Kerri, and Kevin; her great grandchildren Alessia, Domenic, Gabe, Ryan, and Bradley; and her sister-in-law Tina DeMeo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her sister Helen Smith.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
