Obituary For Patricia M (Pierce) Trueira-Mourey

Patricia M. (Pierce)Trueira-Mourey, 84, of Peabody, died Monday evening surrounded by her family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Fred Trueira and James Mourey.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Herlihy) Pierce. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1954.

Patricia worked for the city of Peabody in many capacities over the years. She first started working for the cafeteria school department for 7 years and then for the retirement board for 22 years. She was an elected member of the Board and served from 1995 – 2001 before retiring. After her retirement, she enjoyed working part-time for the Vining family Salem Metal, Inc.

She was a member of the Friends of Council on Aging, AARP, and was a member of the retired state and county municipal employee’s association.

Patricia is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, David A and Denise Trueira of Wilmington, Brian M and Jean Trueira of Peabody and Glenn R and Christine Trueira of Danvers, her beloved grandchildren, David and his fiancé Tracey Gadles, Derek, Leigh, Philip and his wife Shannon, Cameron, Justin Trueira, her two great grandchildren, David and Dylan Trueira and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Sparks and Beverly Lyon.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial services will be for immediate family only at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. For all attendee’s facial coverings is optional.

Expressions of sympathy can be made with flowers for the service, or a donation in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA 01923.
