Obituary For Patricia N. Jalbert

Salem - Patricia N. (Gallagher) Jalbert, long time Salem resident and beloved wife of the late Robert J. Jalbert, passed peacefully on December 2, 2022 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen M. (Walsh) Gallagher. She was a graduate of St John’s High School, Peabody, class of 1950. Upon graduation she was employed in the Engineering Department of the United Shoe Machinery Corp., Beverly, as a Detailed Draftsperson. She met her husband there and they were married in 1956. She left work to raise her family in 1959. She later returned to work in the Salem School department as a clerical aide and retired in 1996 as a Clerk in the Guidance Department of Salem High School. She was a long-time member of the Salem Garden Club.

With great regret she leaves her children and their spouses, Ellen M. (Sterling) Hudon of New Portland, Maine, Robert T. (Susan) Jalbert of Leland, NC, and Linda A. Sibik of Dover, NH. She also leaves her two grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law she loved dearly, Andrew J. and Brian R. (Amanda) Sibik. She also loved getting kisses and wagging tails from her two grand-dogs, Coopah and Dixie. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Thomas and Virginia Connolly, her son-in-law, John J. Sibik, and a special sister-in-law, Irene Jalbert.

She had the pleasure of an abundance of close friends who were like family to her. Her nephews and nieces Mark, Meg, Ken, Susan, Kathy and Michael meant the world to her. She traveled this country and abroad with her husband and friends. Life was filled with friends, family, music, books, art, and laughter. It was a great life and she felt blessed to live it. Special thanks to the amazing staff and facility at Kaplan Family Hospice House Danvers for their kind and caring support.

Dear Ellen, Bobby & Linda; I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Growing up on Ord Street and going to Witchcraft Elementary School, your mother was such a big part of my life. We grew up in a time where we always had someone to look after us, when we needed them. I have so many great memories of your Mom. My parents Jay & Ann neighbors and friends miss having dinner each evening at BrightView we three of them lived during the last year of her life. My deepest condolences to you and all your loved ones. Your Mom & Dad are together again. May they rest in peace together. Peace & Love to you all. Anne-Marie (Dunne) Reed. Morrison, Colorado ❤️
