Patrick Andrew O’Connor, 61, of Salem passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Salem Hospital surrounded by his loving family. With Patrick’s passing, he gives the gift of life to three recipients of his organs. He is the beloved husband of Debbie (Grella) O’Connor who he married this past year after many years of shared happiness.

He was born in Everett, MA on June 15, 1962 and was the cherished son of Patricia Anne (MacLaren) O’Connor of Salem, MA and the late Thomas Joseph O’Connor Jr.

Patrick moved to Salem at a young age and attended Salem schools. He later graduated from North Shore Regional High School in 1980. He started his career as an oil burner technician and worked his way up to a certified HVAC technician. In his long career, Patrick worked for Arctic Oil, Mike and Sons, and most recently J.S. Martin Company. He enjoyed fishing, darts and softball. He was an avid Bruins and Patriots fan. He was well known for his sense of humor and quick wit. Patrick was a hard worker and always went above and beyond to help anyone and everyone. He loved his whole family, especially his children and his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and wife, Patrick is survived by his daughter, Crystal Piche and her husband Dan of Florida; his brothers, Thomas O’Connor III of Florida; Brian O’Connor and his wife Terry of Lynn; his sister Marie Maurice and her husband John McIntire of Salem; his son-in-law, Jeffery Fetter; his sister-in-law Tammy O’Connor of Peabody; his four grandchildren, Callie, Donovan, Drake and Andrew all of Florida; his aunt SR. Bridget O’Connor, SND of Peabody; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sadly, in addition to his father, Patrick was predeceased by his son, Jared Fetter; his brother, David O’Connor; his sister-in-law, Charlotte O’Connor and several aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours will be held at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St. Peabody on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 4PM to 8PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 7:45PM.
