Obituary For Paul J. Tillman
Peabody – Paul J. Tillman 83, beloved husband of Patricia M. (Bezzati) Tillman, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the North Shore Medical Center-Salem Hospital. Born and raised in Toledo, OH, he was the son of the late George A. Tillman Sr. and Hildegard (Woelfle) Tillman. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army.Mr. Tillman had been employed for many years as quality control manager for Cabot Stains in Newburyport until the time of his retirement in 2001.A communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, he was also a longtime member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife with whom he shared sixty two years of marriage, he is survived by his daughter, Erin Tillman of Manchester by the Sea, a son Thomas Tillman and his wife, Alice “Maggie” of Sugar Land, TX, eight grandchildren, Therese Novis, Katie Novitsky, Mac MacDonald Jr., Mollie Tillman, Victoria Tillman, Elizabeth Tillman, Emma Fitzgerald and Stephen Martin, eight great grandchildren, Katterri, Adeline, Marley, Liam, Joseph, Everly, Thomas and Lillyana, two brothers, James Tillman and his wife, Bonnie and David Tillman and his wife, Janet all of Toledo, OH, a sister, Mary Ann Zeller of Toledo, OH, a brother-in-law, Edward C. Bezzati of Peabody and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Paula Tillman and brother of the late George and John Tillman. ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, Church St., Peabody, Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St., Peabody, MA 01960.
