Obituary For Paul Michael Sperounes
Paul Michael Sperounes, 57, of Swampscott, died Sunday at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Anastasia โTessโ (Theodorakopoulos) Sperounes with whom he shared over 30 years of marriage. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Serina (Papanicholas) Sperounes of Swampscott and the late Michael Sperounes. He was raised and educated in Swampscott and was a graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1981.
During his High School years he worked with his Dad at the Dayton Hotel in Lynn during the day, and at night he worked at various Roast Beef shops around the North Shore area. He continued his education at North Shore Community College and received his associates degree in electrical mechanical engineering. In 1986, he purchased his first business โMandees Pizzaโ in Lynn, one of his many business ventures.
Paul was a very generous kindhearted man, he was always there to listen and be there for anyone that needed help, he would give you the shirt off his back. He was a great problem solver and there was not much he couldnโt fix; in fact, he was called MacGyver by his employees at work. He was very devoted to his family whom he loved with all his being. Family was everything to him. During the warm weather you would find him out on the ocean as he was an avid boater and spent numerous years boating. Then in the winter months he loved to snowmobile and would follow the snow wherever it went. He went snowmobiling everywhere from Montana to his camp in Maine. He loved getting away to Maine to spend quality time with family and friends.
Besides his loving wife, Paul is survived by his son Michael L. Sperounes of Lynn, his daughter Kristina Sperounes and her boyfriend, Nikko Ferrara of Middleton, his sister, Maria Sperounes of Swampscott and is also survived by many nieces, nephew, and dear friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Georgeโs Greek Orthodox Church, 54 South Common St, Lynn, MA to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Swampscott Cemetery, Lynn.
