Priscilla Jane (Derocher) Pilotte, 79, of Peabody, died Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard P. Pilotte.

Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Marion (Radcliffe) Derocher. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1960. She has lived in Peabody for the last 32 years.

Priscilla was a waitress who first worked at Stromberg’s Restaurant in Salem for 15 years and later at Keef’s Hayloft in Salem for 15 years before finally retiring in 2007.

Priscilla had a love of animals, music, and arts and crafts, especially Knitting, crocheting, and making candy houses as well.

Priscilla is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Silk and Scott Bode of Salem, her brother, David Derocher and his wife Carol of FL, her sisters, Nancy Shephard of Pepperell, and Jeanie Mullins of Townsend, and is also survived by her five beloved grandchildren, Alyshia Silk, Emma and Christopher Moreland, and Gary and Daniel Silke, her great grandson, Oliver Heenan, and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Peter and Gary Silk and her sister, Bette LaBonte.

Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody.
