Obituary For Richard Bertram Martin
Beverly β Richard Bertram Martin 65, beloved husband of Deborah E. (Wolf) Martin, passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Salem, he received his education in the Salem school system and was a graduate of Salem High School.
A lifelong resident of the North Shore, Rick held several positions at local industries such as the General Electric Company, New England Power Salem Station and lastly seventeen years with the MBTA as a bus operator at the Charlestown/Bennet garages.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his mother, Eileen Martin, daughters, Alicia Martin and Lindsey Lopez, seven grandchildren, two sisters, Carol Lavoie and Linda Prince and his four brothers, Tom, Kevin, Brian and David Martin.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. followed by a service in the funeral home at 5:00 p.m. to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. A private burial will take place following cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
