Obituary For Robert F. Dennehy
Robert F. Dennehy Jr., 59, of Salem, MA died accidently on Monday October 11, 2021, while canoeing at Pine Acres Campground in Raymond, NH. He was born in Lynn, MA on June 9, 1962, the son of the late Robert F. Dennehy Sr and Alicia (O’Rourke) Dennehy RN and had resided in Peabody most of his life before moving to Salem.
He had been a painter with his brother at Sutton Painting Company in Peabody for 25 years. Rob was an avid Boston sports fan rooting for his Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtic teams. He also enjoyed going fishing in the fresh waters in the lakes and ponds of the North Shore. He was a giant follower of The Allman Brothers Band and went to many of their concerts.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Sean P. and Marla Dennehy of Peabody, a sister, Allison Dennehy and her partner, Paul Fagundes of Georgetown, his companion, Melissa Markus of Salem, his devoted nieces and nephews Alicia and Theresa Dennehy of Peabody and Tessa, Paul, Jade, and Niko Fagundes of Danvers. He was the brother of the late Terrance Dennehy.
A Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Service will be held there on Saturday at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited, and the family requests a mask if you have not been vaccinated. Following cremation, a private burial will be held later. Bobby ( Bing ) was my closest friend and brother since 1972. Our past goes beyond deep loyalty. Bobby was always reminiscing about the old adventures and the tight group of friends we ran with.Bobby will truly be missed . love you my Brother with all of my heart. Jeff Davekos
