Robert H. Newton died on August 7th, 2021. He was the son of the late Patricia (Witham) Newton and the late Robert Newton.

He was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical Institute and enjoyed a long career at Essex Engineering. He was a big brother and mentor to many his whole life. He took pride in his dedication to the people he loved. Family was everything to him and he loved every moment with them.

He leaves behind a son Robert Newton and his wife Cassie Newton, as well as a daughter Coreen Tapley and her husband David Tapley.

He leaves behind his beloved siblings John Newton and his wife Helen Newton, Michael Newton, Cheryl Newton and Dawn McNulty and her husband Daniel McNulty.

He was a dedicated uncle to many nieces and nephews including Crystal Newton, Danny Newton, Jim McNulty, Johnny Newton, Alyssa Newton, Katrina Newton, Jaimee McNulty and Dan McNulty.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Haleigh Newton and Bria Tapley. As well as his great nieces and nephews Nevaeh Newton, Makenna Salls, Jayson Newton, Gavin Salls and Lincoln Salls.

He treasured his friendships and leaves behind his lifelong friend Paul Glavin, as well as his friend Colleen LaBonte and Tyler LaBonte, whom he thought of as a son.

He is predeceased by his brother James Newton and his best friend Richard LaBonte.

Service Information: Visiting hours will be at Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at 82 Lynn Street in Peabody, MA on Friday August 13th from 9am until 11am followed by a graveside ceremony at Pine Grove Cemetery at 11:30am where he will be reunited with his cherished mother for all eternity.
