Obituary For Rose Ida Oliver
Rose Ida Oliver passed away at the Jeffrey & Susan Brudnick Center for Living of natural causes. Born in Peabody, Massachusetts, she lived in the community she loved for her entire life.
Daughter of Harry and Lucy Sarkisian, she was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Oliver and is survived by her sons Dean R. Oliver and Kurt M. Oliver. She was the sister of and predeceased Mary Chekijian and her husband Jack, Juliette Sarkisian, Sarkis Sarkisian, and Armen Sarkisian. She was a wonderful caregiver to her husband and siblings throughout her life.
Retired as an administrative assistant from General Electric in Lynn, Massachusetts, Rose also worked for many years prior as a legal secretary at the Peabody law firm of Pearl, McNiff, Crean, and Cook. An avid reader and lover of education, Rose pursued her undergraduate degree with tenacity as an adult learner and graduated from Salem State College with a sense of accomplishment at age 51.
Rose loved her family more than anything else and enjoyed cooking for them, especially her famous “Sunday dinner.” She loved eating out and sharing meals and enjoyed vacationing in Ogunquit, Maine and Martha’s Vineyard. She also loved and was loved by very many friends throughout her life. She will be missed.
