Obituary For Rosemarie Grennan

Rosemarie (Geer) Grennan, 89, of Peabody, died peacefully Tuesday morning at Beverly Hospital after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Donald R. Grennan with whom just celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John A and Mary B (Collins) Geer. She was raised and educated in East Boston and has lived in Peabody for the past 54 years.

Rose was a security officer for over 20 years at Jordan Marsh in Peabody and received an award for outstanding and dedicated service.

Upon her retirement in 1995, she spent winters in Port Charlotte and New Port Richey, Florida. She enjoyed traveling on cruises, bowling and golfing.

Besides her loving husband, Rose is survived by her son Donald Grennan and his wife Sharon of FL, her two daughters, Kim Graham and her husband Scott of Georgetown, Kelley McCarthy and her husband John of Peabody and her 5 beloved grandchildren, Zachary and Kelsey Graham, Megan and Conor McCarthy and Krista Grennan and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 5 brothers.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held on Wednesday at Brooksby Village Chapel, McIntosh Clubhouse 100 Brooksby Village Dr, Peabody from 10:00 AM until 11 AM immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be private at a later date.
