Obituary For Scott Eugene Ingham

Scott Eugene Ingham, 59, of Peabody, died peacefully in his sleep Friday evening surrounded by his loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a lengthy illness.

He was the devoted husband of Barbara (Knowlton) Ingham with whom he shared nearly 30 years of marriage. Scott is survived by his three sons, Brian Ingham of FL, Scott E Ingham, Jr. and his fiancé Kelly DaSilva of Beverly, and Nicholas and his wife Lexi Ingham of FL. His brothers, William G Ingham, Jr. of FL, Stephen Ingham, David Ingham, and Kevin Ingham and his wife Sue, all of Peabody, his favorite sister, Lisa and her husband Kevin Josselyn of Peabody; his special niece, Krystal Richard of NH; his sister-in-law, the original Barbara Ingham of FL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and was an expecting grandfather to his first grandchild in February.

Scott was born and raised in Peabody. He was the son of William G Ingham and his wife Cecile Ingham of FL, and the son of the late Jean Carol (Gould) Ingham. He was a proud, lifelong resident of Peabody and a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1980.

Scott was a professional truck driver for over 15 years before his illness. He enjoyed playing sports, especially hockey and football. He also loved playing cards, his favorite games were whist, cribbage, and tock. Scott was an avid fan of all Boston professional sports teams and was Tom Brady's biggest fan. He enjoyed spending his summers camping in Ossipee Lake, NH and loved riding his Harley Davidson. His favorite activity was spending time with his family and sharing in their laughter and love. Scott was always so proud of his family and their accomplishments. He was very much looking forward to bouncing his grandbaby on his knee.

Scott was predeceased by his mother Jean Carol (Gould) Ingham and his sister-in-law, Debbie Ingham.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.

    Scott was like a brother to me. We shared many moments together riding motorcycles and just hanging out.
