Obituary For Scott Stephen Spencer

Peabody – Scott Stephen Spencer 47, formerly of Lynn, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Lahey North Medical Center in Peabody.

Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of Melody (Durgin) Spencer of Peabody and the late Scott Spencer. He graduated from Lynn English High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Framingham State University, where he also played on their baseball team.

Scott had been employed as a customer sales representative at the Home Depot in Danvers. Prior to that he had worked for Comcast for many years.

A longtime resident of Peabody, Scott grew up playing baseball and cherished his memories of playing for Lynn Babe Ruth League and Connery Post 6. He was an avid New England sports team fan, following the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots. He also enjoyed gardening and helping out neighbors, friends and family. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Tyler Spencer, a brother, Cory Spencer and his wife, Megan of Derry, NH, two nieces. Madeline and Paige and uncle, Chris Rogers and his wife, Despina of Hampton, NH. He was also the grandson of the late Elizabeth Rogers. ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
