Obituary For Sharon Ann Mota

Sharon Ann (Cotoni) Mota, 63 of Peabody died Friday at the Beverly Hospital following a month-long battle against Covid-19. She was the Devoted Wife of Luis Mota, Sr. with whom she shared over 42 years of marriage.

Born in Peabody, she was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late John and Ida (Perry) Cotoni. She was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1976.

Sharon loved children. She was a pre-school teacher for over 4 years at ‘A Childs Place’ in Peabody before embarking on a 25-year career working for Dunkin Donuts as a manager in customer service.

When not watching her favorite team The New England Patriots play, one of Sharon’s favorite things to do was taking out their Corvette and traveling throughout New England. Driving from Shoreline to the White Mountains and everywhere in between admiring all the fall foliage before winter came. Stopping in all the little shops, looking around and shopping for little trinkets and jewelry. She loved Sunny days at the beach collecting Seashells, but most importantly loved sitting down in Peabody Square for hours with her Husband while they drank their coffee.

Sharon loved the Holidays. Her favorite holiday was Halloween. There was not a Holiday where she wouldn’t dress up in a costume especially for work. She always was dressed festive no matter what the holiday. She always loved to wear bright colors. She loved her Disney too. She has a collection of all Disney everything. She loved going to Disney World with her family.

One of the most important things to Sharon was being Mimi to her grandkids. She loved them and loved spending time with them every chance she got. She was a kind, loving and generous person. When you met her, you had a friend for life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Besides her loving husband Luis, Sharon is survived by her two sons Luis Mota, Jr. and Derek Mota, her daughter in law Nikki Caverno and by her beloved four grandchildren Cole Cahill, Alexis and Ru Caverno and Anthony Silva.

At the request of the family, all services will be held privately. In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the Boston Children’s Hospital at 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, Ma 02115 or www.childrenshospital.org
