Danvers – Sharon (Kelley) Flynn 78, beloved wife of James J. Flynn Jr., died Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Beverly Hospital.

Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Rosamond (Murphy) Kelley. She graduated from Medford High School, class of 1960 and earned her nursing degree from the Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing in Medford.

An honorably discharged veteran, she served her country during the Vietnam Era as a nurse for the United States Air Force.

Mrs. Flynn had been employed as a private duty nurse for many years until the time of her retirement. A longtime resident of Danvers, she was an active parishioner of St. Richard’s Church in Danvers and was a member of the Polish American Club of Danvers.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared six years of marriage, she is survived by a daughter, Christine Elliott and her husband, Shawn of Danvers, two grandchildren, Lindsey and Brady Elliott, her nephew, John Nunes and his wife, Kristen and their two children, Camden and Kayla all of Saugus. She was also the mother of the late Michael J. Flynn.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Richard’s Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers, Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Richard’s Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers, MA 01923.
