Stella (Spaneas) Anastopoulos, 90, of Peabody, died Tuesday March 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the Pilgrim Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Kerry G. “Clay” Anastopoulos.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Georgia (Mitsakos) Spaneas. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody. Stella was employed at the former Deerskin Trading Post warehouse in Peabody for over 20 years doing various jobs throughout her career there.

According to family and friends she was the world’s best cook who enjoyed feeding everyone.

Stella is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cris and Kathleen Anastopoulos of Peabody, , her grandchildren Jennifer and Lenny, her great grandchildren Katelyn and Hunter, and by her nieces Andi S, Toni, Andi K, Georgianna, Tanya, and Courtney. She was pre-deceased by her siblings Rena, Spero, Tony, Johnny, Mary, and Paul.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 8:30 until 9:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
