Dear Webb and Volkman family, I worked with Susan for several years, in the division of endocrinology at Boston Children's Hospital. She was a kind person and dedicated nurse who was impactful with her patients. I kept in touch with Susan after she left the hospital and I am saddened by her passing. She was such a strong person who overcame many physical challenges in the past, and I am truly saddened to hear about her passing. She loved her family and her grandchildren so much! Sending healing thoughts and prayers to the family. May her memory be a blessing! Best, Naomi Jennings

Dear Volkmann and Webb Family. I am so very sorry for the great loss of your mother. Suan was an amazing human being, mother, grandmother, friend, and nurse. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with her in the hospital. She was everyone's support, and her love, strength, and dedication shone through. She made an enormous impact on the children she cared for, and she was always there for anyone in need. Her smile and spirit will be missed; however, she will remain forever in our hearts and memories. May her memory be a blessing.

Dear David, Erin and extended family, Your Mom, Sue, was such a gem of a human being in so many ways. I think about all the little ones she cared for as an RN all those years. And I think about all the kind gestures and words that flowed effortlessly from her. She was a fabulous BFF to my Mom for 40+ years. My Mom's life and mine were so enriched to have had someone so special in our lives. I will miss her as I know you will miss her so ever so deeply. My sympathies and prayers, Terri White-Jones

Dear Webb/Volkmann Family, Words cannot express my deepest love and sympathy for the family. Her wisdom, kindness and fortitude will be part of her legacy to us. She loved her family more than anything and brought joy throughout her life. We considered each other 'soul' sisters as neither of us had biological sisters. What an honor for me. XOXOXO Carolann Moore Lussier
