Taras and his Family were my next door neighbors for about 15 yrs. You could not ask for a nicer family. And Taras himself was the most helpful person to me. He was always coming over to help me with any and all kinds of home repairs. He was so thoughtful in that way. I was always awful at that stuff but it helped tremendously knowing that I could always count on him. I was very sad when they sold their house. And I'm very sad right now. I have known Taras for more than 15 years and had the unique opportunity to work closely with him. He was smart, innovative, intelligent and set a high bar for technical excellence. We can throw any number of technical challenges at him and he always had a well thought out answer. Autumn has come and soon there will be many festive days and occasions in the coming months. I am reminded of Taras making ThanksGiving Baskets at iBasis and bringing his daughter Nicole to work during that time. These occasions bring out the spirit of caring, compassion and being together with family and friends and most importantly cherishing the memories of those who left us. We are all struggling to come to terms with - how someone so young can leave this world, his family and friends so soon. May the memories of Taras and all our prayers be the sources of strength to his family and friends.

Taras was such an amazing and giving individual. He was so generous with his time and gave the most thoughtful gifts. My family enjoyed getting to know him immensely and we are thankful to have had him in our lives. He was the MOST INCREDIBLE cook- the best sandwiches and meal I have ever had were prepared by him. I am praying for Taras and for his entire family- especially his children whom he loved so much. He will be forever missed and we will keep his spirit alive by sharing the many happy memories we've had with him. My most sincere sympathies to his entire family and friends.
