Obituary For Trudy Pobiedzinski

Trudy (Duratti) Pobiedzinski, 79, of Peabody, died unexpectedly at her home Saturday April 15, 2023. She was the devoted wife of the late John Pobiedzinski.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late William Durratti, Sr and Rose A (Scialdone) Duratti. She was raised and educated in Salem and has resided in Peabody for the past 50 years.

Trudy first worked as an assembler at Parker Brothers in Salem and then continued her career at Bodycote in Ipswich before retiring years ago.

Trudy is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, John and Tammie Pobiedzinski and Joe Pobiedzinski, all of Peabody, her brother William Durratti, Jr and his wife Jean of Beverly, her sisters-in-law, Gloria Pobiedzinski of Beverly and Linda and her husband Jim Hoffman of Lynn, her brother-in-law, Maynard Thibault of Danvers, her two grandchildren, Tyler and his wife Becky Pobiedzinski and Ashley Pobiedzinski and her fiancé Peter Ronnquist, her three great grandchildren, Ryan Bernier, Nimue and Baldr Pobiedzinski and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, visitation will be held on Friday April 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody followed by her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.

    41 years ago Trudy went with me to be my model for hairdressing stateboards thanks to her I passed everything she was my sister's mother-in-law but also a friend to me I would go to bingo with her and her mom we just clicked I will miss you Trudy as I have missed you for the past 17 years after I moved say hi to John up in heaven for me. love you Debbie

    So very sorry to hear about this. I grew up with Trudi as a neighbor for over 25 years. She was and is an amazing woman and she will be missed. She was always there and became a second mom. Rest easy sweet lady.

    Trudi was such a wonderful neighbor. She adored my little ones and we adored her. Always waiving to us with a smile. Always with a treat ready for the neighborhood dogs. She will be missed.
