Ursula J (Pyburn) Lyons, 86, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, died January 21, 2022, at the Chatsworth Nursing Home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, following a lengthy illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Lyons.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Beatrice (Nash) Pyburn. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1953. She continued her education at Salem State College from 1953 – 1955.

Ursula was employed as an office assistant for the IRS and retired many years ago.

Ursula is survived by her 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter J Pyburn, Jr and his wife Linda, of Palm Beach Gardens and John and his wife Mary Lou (Ward) Pyburn of Medford, her sister and brother-in-law, Mary E Lawler and the late Danial J Lawlor of Hamilton, her nephews, James R Pyburn and Angela Pyburn of Danvers, and Robert Lawler of Hamilton, her nieces, Yolanda Pyburn of Danvers, and Jennifer Pyburn of Medford.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Wenham Cemetery, Wenham.
